PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
- 2.1 Million SF, 75 stories, 1000 FT tall building
- 3000 ton Carrier Chiller Plant
- Thermal Storage
- Modular Boiler Plant (14)
- Heat Exchangers
- Air Handling Systems (AHUs, FCU’s, VAV boxes)
WHAT SUNBELT CONTROLS DELIVERED
Sunbelt Controls provided building automation solutions for approximately 3,000 points of software integration throughout the Wilshire Grand Hotel, with most of these points located across the 900 guest rooms. This included panel design and fabrication, as well as working with ACCO to build out the core and shell for the 30 floors of office space above the 8th floor central plant. Sunbelt utilized Automated Logic Controls (ALC) WebCTRL hardware for this project. Later, ALC Awarded Sunbelt Controls 2017 Project of the Year for its work on Wilshire Grand.
Sunbelt Controls’ advanced seismic engineering capabilities, phenomenal installation coordination, extensive knowledge of complex and diverse building requirements, plus compelling system visualization, integration and scalability were all key factors for this project.
- 2.1 Million SF building includes 45,000 SF of retail and office space and 400,000 SF of Class A office space
- Awarded the IBCON Most Intelligent Mixed-Use Building in the United States in 2017
