Informatica Corporation is a leading software development company headquartered in Redwood City. They provide products specializing in big data integration and management. Informatica wanted to relocate their existing headquarters into two buildings in Redwood Shores.
Informatica had a very aggressive schedule to maintain in order to move into these two buildings on schedule. There were 6 roof top Trane Intellipak Units, kitchen systems, chilled and hot water systems, fan coils and roughly 250 VAV boxes to be retrofitted, tested and balanced over a couple of months in Summer.
WHAT SUNBELT CONTROLS DELIVERED
The construction schedule provided a total of 7 weeks of retrofit construction work in order to deliver the project on time. This included mechanical modifications, controls retrofit, commissioning air balance, and turnover to owner.
What uniquely qualified Sunbelt Controls for this job was our ability to design and build simultaneously. This retrofit work required our seasoned controls engineers and technicians to evaluate the site conditions, determine a course of action and take that action on the spot to move the project forward.
Sunbelt delivered an extremely efficient team of experienced installation and commissioning professionals to aggressively crossover building systems without any punch lists or required returns. Existing mechanical deficiencies discovered through our controls work were communicated to the Mechanical Contractor and these deficiencies were repaired as they were discovered.
All in all, 7 floors in 7 weeks. A very aggressive schedule with 7 day work weeks combined with a controls company with the necessary expertise of over 20 years in ALC experience, and this project was delivered to the customer complete and on time for occupancy.
