PROJECT BACKGROUND
The client had an antiquated Honeywell Building Automation System that needed to be upgraded. Sunbelt Controls developed a solution to upgrade the City Hall three-building complex to a state-of-the-art Distech Controls BAS. The project involved multiple buildings (Rotunda, Council, and Tower) and required multiple phases to complete the conversion from Honeywell to Distech Controls.
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
- Conversion of legacy DDC controls to brand new, IP-based controls
- New Graphical User Interface complete with state-of-the-art graphics
- New IP-based BAS network spanning multiple buildings including a High-rise tower
- UUKL control/monitoring of critical life-safety equipment
- Project phasing included Normal Day Time working hours and Night/Overtime working hours
- Replace existing critical infrastructure with the latest and greatest

- Implemented Title 24 Energy-savings programming and control
- Monitoring and control of critical life-safety systems with separate UUKL-rated network and controls
- Retrofitted complicated Fire Fighter’s Override Panel
- Monitoring of critical systems, like Fire Life Safety System, Generator, Sewage Systems
