Historic San Francisco Building Revitalized
Located in the heart of San Francisco, Twitter’s global headquarters reside in an iconic Art Deco building originally built in 1937. Once the home of the historic Furniture Mart, the building is the first workspace designed specifically for Twitter. For this project, Sunbelt delivered the controls for 7 floors of expanded office and cafeteria space–overall 480,000 square feet–over a 3 year period.
Twitter was provided with the ability to schedule the operation of each building wing individually for after-hours operation. Additionally, BTU meters were provided for Hot Water and Condenser Water usage tracking. The owner of the building, Shorenstein Realty Services, was then provided a monthly report showing after-hours operation and BTU meter usage for customer billing purposes.
