This class will provide the end-user the knowledge and tools needed to operate their Distech Controls building management system effectively and efficiently. DBO-1 is Live Instructor-led eLearning in a virtual Zoom classroom environment. This method of training allows for group exercises and one on one instruction with the use of breakout rooms. The instructor can see the work that students do remotely as if he was in the room with them enabling real-time feedback.

Students connect securely to a remote learning platform that is hosted in the cloud. The learning experience is comparable to in-person sessions without the added cost of travel.

Meet our Instructors

Derick Hopkins

Derick Hopkins is an experienced ALC Factory Certified Instructor with a demonstrated history in the construction field. Over the past 22 years, he has transitioned from a field technician with service, start-up and controls experience, to construction supervisor to corporate instructor. Derick has dedicated the later part of his career to breaking down complicated information into smaller principles that students can relate to. Derick covers training in California, Nevada and Seattle.

After successfully completing this Distech course, you will be able to use your Sunbelt Standard
database to quickly and efficiently:

  • Navigate the Graphic User Interface (GUI)
  • Add users and modify profiles
  • Create and modify schedules
  • Enable Histories (Trends)
  • Manage Reports
  • Read controls drawings
  • Configure Alarms and Actions
